Tendonitis

Tendonitis affects the strong bands or cords of tissue that connect muscle to bone. Tendon pain (and tendonitis) can be caused by an inflammation of the protective tissue that surrounds most tendons. Tendon pain can affect various parts of the body, including the shoulder, elbow, wrist, thigh and knee.

Tendonitis can be caused by the overuse of a tendon along with other impact injuries.
